World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Upgrades to items allow players to increase an item's gear score up to 700 and also add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you decide to take them to the Kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like a perfectly made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons don't change much post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats, such as the chance to crit, attack damage, PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also have an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. In addition, many weapons have a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. This bonus could be greater than the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For example an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons also change the stats of their base. While this is generally beneficial however, it could have negative effects as well. Upgrades can render items impossible to use, unless you are very lucky.

Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their effectiveness. In the case of a helm or chest, this will increase the defense of its base, while gloves and belts enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it may reroll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain when upgraded and their relative values. This means that a weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will be hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button in the item menu using the arrows that are circling. This will reroll the item and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or bind to account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make the world of difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to traverse difficult areas. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the greater health you can get from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, go to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total and each one requires you to complete a special side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you'll be looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. For instance the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a large group of enemies in most cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, giving you enough protection to withstand a full on raid with a few of your friends.

It isn't possible to upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or spell power. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you use to fight the final boss as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

You can also gain benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades to the weapon you'll be using to beat the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have some upgrades for the chest armor and helmets to let you escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed, provide the user with a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a craft table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion and the item's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion you need to right-click it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens an GUI where you can select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll yield when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not be degraded until you re-use it, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance are now available with a time of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds shown on the item hover display. The potion table can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can now be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be mixed in cauldrons. This is the same for using a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will drain the liquid, and then refill the bottle.

In  upgrade item , there are simmering potions that are made using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to potions that are lingering to increase their effects. The table of potions is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, such as the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket could be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or decoration that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant such as a thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets unlike other items which can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing statistics.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with tokens, gold or fragments of trinkets that are rare.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a new trinket. You can upgrade a trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the old trinket, but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

When the old Trinkets are no longer usable they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that they won't replace in the near future (for instance, a ring or cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. For instance, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.

After they've become unusable trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade is likely to ruin the previous trinket, unless it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
